Introducing the EDC23 SABER – Ultra Slim Pocket Tactical EDC Flashlight
October 28th 2024
The
exploration of technology is a pursuit of refinement in every millimeter and
every gram. The EDC23 combines an ultra short design with exceptional
performance, making it lighter, thinner, and more compact, while still
delivering performance on par with tactical compact flashlights. It also
features a large capacity battery and an OLED display, ushering in a new era of
ultra slim flashlights that offer an unparalleled experience.
Building on
the industry-leading design of the EDC27, it features an ultra thin structure
of just 13.5mm (0.53") and a length of 102.8mm (4.05"), making it
approximately 27% shorter than conventional compact flashlights. Its grip,
portability, and storage convenience have reached a new level. In addition, it weighs 101g (3.56 oz) only, providing an
unparalleled experience in convenience and storage. It easily fits into a
pocket or on a belt, perfect for everyday carry (EDC) and tactical situations.
Both NiteLab and NITECORE belong to SYSMAX
which is dedicated to exploring LED technology to reinvent the flashlight LED
solutions. NiteLab cooperates with an industrial partner to jointly develop the
new UHi 25 LED, specially designed for portable lighting. Featuring 2.26 mm2 ultra mini light emitting surface, it utilizes the supreme white color
consistency processing to provide a cool white light of 6500K color
temperature. The low color tolerance of 4.7 SDCM achieves a white, accurate,
and clear lighting.
Thanks to the UHi 25 LED, it breaks the
size limitation to offer a max output of 2500 lumens and a max throw of 280
meters, achieving an excellent performance through the dark in a compact size.
It is composed of stainless steel front and
rear shells, high strength carbon fiber composite frame, and an aluminum heat
dissipation plate, secured by four sets of connector bolts and dual rear screws.
This ensures a lightweight yet rigid structure that effectively resists
compression, twisting, and bending while providing excellent wear and scratch
resistance.
The Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) Module
regulates the output according to the working condition and ambient environment
to maintain the optimal performance. The semi-embedded heat dissipation plate almost
extends from the head to the tail and the protruding striped design projects
heat outwards to help conduct and disperse heat quickly. Even after turning on
the HIGH Level (1,100 lumens) for a long time, it can still be held directly.
The EDC23 also features Rapid Lock™ for
fast and easy control, with a mini size perfectly fitting the ultra slim shape.
Simply slide to full/half lock or unlock the flashlight for immediate response,
especially in critical situations. Two-Stage
Tactical Button and Mode Button allow for precise control through half press or
full press, ensuring quick response for tactical applications.
Thanks to the new internal structure design
within the limited size, the EDC23 has a built-in 1,500mAh Li-ion battery, which
far exceeds the battery capacity of flashlights in the same size, providing a
max runtime of 39 hours.
The
multifunctional OLED display will show real-time information, including brightness
level, lumens, battery voltage and runtime. Besides, the EDC23 has a brightness
level preset function and a sensor protection function, with an IP54 rating.
