NITECORE Unveils the EDC25 Ultra Slim Tactical EDC Flashlight
April 18th 2024
NITECORE today
released the EDC25—its second ultra slim tactical EDC flashlight. This flashlight
stands out due to its lightweight, slim design, and is powered by the advanced
UHi LED, making it an indispensable tool for professionals and outdoor
enthusiasts alike.
The EDC25 utilizes
two UHi 20 LEDs combined with a precision metal orange peel reflector to deliver
a max output of 3,000 lumens and a beam distance of 300 meters, far surpassing
that of standard EDC flashlights. Its front and rear aluminum alloy shells
fused with a high-strength composite frame, secured by six sets of connector
bolts, to achieve a lightweight yet rigid construction that resists
compression, twisting, and bending. Weighing only 104g (3.67 oz), the 13.7mm /
0.54" body is about 46% thinner than the compact flashlights, ideal for
firm grip and daily carrying.
With 1,897mm²
large heat dissipation area, the semi-embedded structure achieves excellent
heat dissipation comparable to other compact flashlights. The heat dissipation
plate almost extends from the head to the tail, which helps conduct and
disperse heat quickly. The striped design on the body not only projects heat
outwards to prevent overheating but also increases contact with air for
enhanced cooling efficiency.
The EDC25 features
a two-stage tactical button and a customizable tactical button. The former is
controlled by a two-stage press for on/off or brightness level switching, while
the latter allows users to customize STROBE or TURBO based on their needs for
quick response in emergencies and avoiding misoperation.
Additionally, the
EDC25 is equipped with a built-in 1,700mAh Li-ion battery, providing up to 55
hours of runtime. It features indicator lights similar to the MH12 Pro, which
displays the current brightness level and the remaining battery power. The flashlight
is also IP54 rated for dust and water resistance and can withstand drops from
up to 1 meter.
