Introducing the EDC33: The Ultimate Tactical EDC Flashlight with Four Game-Changing Innovations
December 4th 2023
NITECORE today unveiled its year-end flagship
product, the Tactical EDC Flashlight EDC33. This launch introduces four groundbreaking
technologies: UHi 20 MAX LED, LUMIN SHIELD™, Rapid Lock™, and a 4,000mAh 18650
Li-ion battery, setting a new benchmark in the industry for professional EDC
flashlights with its superior performance and user experience.
The UHi 20 MAX LED represents the first of its kind
in the portable lighting industry — a professionally crafted unit with a
multi-core integrated design for superior performance. Utilizing the UHi Fusion
packaging technology, it combines a small yet high-intensive main core with 8
auxiliary cores arrayed together into a single LED, offering long-range
coverage, extreme brightness, and the flexibility to seamlessly switch between
spotlight and floodlight. Thanks to the Supreme White Color Consistency™
processing, it can emit a purer and softer white light.
The
EDC33 features the first-ever LUMIN SHIELD™. When activated during night-time
emergencies, the LUMIN SHIELD™ coordinates 9 LED cores to swiftly generate a
4000-lumen "light wall", akin to a large shield for personal defense,
offering an unparalleled experience in self-protection. In any mode except for
the Full Lockout Mode, users can full press and hold the Tactical Tail Button
to activate the LUMIN SHIELD™ for instant defense.
The
EDC33 also introduces the innovative Rapid Lock™, ushering in a new phase of
swift and seamless operation. Users can instantly access Full Lockout Mode,
Half Lockout Mode and unlock the flashlight by simply sliding the Rapid Lock™,
all in just one switch. The Full Lockout Mode ensures no accidental activation
during storage or everyday carry, while for the Half Lockout Mode, users can activate
SEARCH and LUMIN SHIELD™. Designed for intuitive use, the ergonomic design and layout
of the Rapid Lock™ are tailored to improve quick responses in emergency situations.
NITECORE
is taking a giant leap forward with the 4,000mAh 18650 Li-ion battery. Crafted
in partnership with the industry partner, the EDC33 features a built-in
4,000mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, offering a 14.4Wh high capacity with an
energy density of 300mWh/g. This capacity is equal to the energy provided by
four CR123A Li-ion batteries, effectively doubling the backup power, so users
will never worry about the battery life.
The
EDC33 also features Tactical SEARCH Mode with 450-meter long range coverage. In
this mode, its main core will emit a powerful beam of 1,700 lumens, capable of
illuminating areas up to 450 meters away, with an intensity of 54,500cd. This performance
surpasses that of many compact flagship flashlights, providing users with the
ability to discern distant objects or potential threats. The Tactical SEARCH
Mode can be activated with ease except the Full Lockout Mode, enhancing rapid
responses in various unexpected situations.
The
EDC33 is engineered from 7000 series military grade aluminum (7075-T6), one of
the strongest aluminum alloys available. It offers an 88% increase in hardness
over standard 6000 series used in conventional flashlights, ensuring
exceptional durability and a sturdy build. Coupled with a 1-mm deep textured
finish, it also provides an outstanding grip during use. Other highlights
include the stainless steel head and tail, HA III military grade hard-anodized
finish, IP68 rating (2m submersible), ultra high corrosion resistance, and 2m
impact resistance, making it a reliable companion in even the harshest
conditions.
Packed
with multiple features yet surprisingly lightweight, the EDC33 weighs only 127g
(clip included), perfect for storing in the pocket during everyday carry. It
includes a large-hole DCP (Deep Carry Pocket) Clip and a high-quality 550
paracord, allowing users to easily stow the flashlight deep within the pocket
and enabling quick draw.
Additionally, the EDC33 is equipped with sensor protection function, rotary protection cover, optical lenses with double-sided scratch resistant coating, and an ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation) module.
